Experience Portonovo at the dining table, too: fulfil your dream of enjoying a meal looking out to see, or share your celebrations in the welcoming atmosphere of our restaurant, as your eye takes in the panorama of the Riviera del Conero.

We select only fish and shellfish of the highest quality. Come into the restaurant and make your choice directly from our refrigerated cabinet displaying the catch of the day, as your mouth begins to water at the thought of the fresh delicacies you are about to savour at the table.
Portonovo wild mussels

Here, we call wild mussels Moscioli

Caught from April through to October, wild mussels are a local delicacy that grow only on the rocks in the tract of sea that runs from Pietralacroce to Sassi Neri di Sirolo, in the areas of Portonovo and Ancona.

This is a Slow Food presidium that you can savour in all its freshness: either alla marinara (in marinara sauce) or in our famous sugo, to be enjoyed in combination with your favourite pasta shape.

On beautiful spring days, or at sunset following a day by the sea, or to recharge your proverbial batteries after work: it’s always the right time for an aperitif.
Breathe the Conero air, immerse yourself in our unhurried ambience and drink in the panorama.

At La Capannina, the balcony is the place to relax and make the most of happy hour. Here, mixology classics and innovative twists, as well as still and sparkling wines, accompany our dishes, whether you’re enjoying some super-fresh fish or some crunchy, just-baked fornarina (a speciality similar to pizza dough). Everything we serve up is just so delicious, you’ll want to stay for dinner.

Not just a restaurant

Pizza on the beach

At dinner, you can enjoy one of our wonderful, authentic pizzas.

We make the dough from stone-ground flour, and then we leave the dough balls to rise for at least 48 hours before baking them in our wood-fired oven. The result? A lip-smacking, crispy, easy-to-digest pizza that is also available in a gluten-free version.
